The Silent Knight PS-SMBB is the optional red surface-mount back box for SD500-PS and SD500-PSDA addressable pull stations. Use it where a flush single-gang box is impractical. As a result, the pull station mounts cleanly on the finished wall surface.
The SD500-PS is a single-action addressable pull station. Meanwhile, the SD500-PSDA is its dual-action counterpart. Both normally mount to a standard single-gang electrical box. However, the PS-SMBB lets installers surface-mount instead of cutting into finished walls.
