The Hochiki R2MH-I is a DCP-addressable dual-relay module with a built-in short-circuit isolator. It provides two independently controlled Form C contacts per SLC address.
First, the R2MH-I integrates the same dual high-current relays as the R2MH. Then it adds an SLC isolator that opens during a downstream short. As a result, a single short does not bring down the rest of the loop.
Hochiki R2MH-I Isolator Behavior
Specifically, a yellow LED on the R2MH-I faceplate lights when the isolator trips. In addition, the SCI on-resistance is 40 milliohm max during normal operation. However, the isolator returns automatically once the short is cleared.
