The Bosch B299 is an SDI2 expansion module. It communicates with the control panel over the SDI2 bus. As a result, it adds addressable points to compatible Bosch panels. The module supports up to 100 POPIT devices.
Bosch B299 capacity and wiring
Each B299 operates over a single expansion loop. Specifically, it uses two pairs of terminals for that loop. In addition, it provides point identification for up to 100 connected addressable initiating devices. The module also supervises the wiring for circuit integrity.
The B299 runs on 12VDC. Its operating humidity range is 5% to 93% at 90°F. Therefore, it fits typical indoor control-equipment conditions.
Installation
The B299 installs in the control panel enclosure. Alternatively, mount it in an adjacent approved enclosure. Its compact 2.9″ x 5.0″ x 0.6″ board and connectors simplify wiring. Finally, the small size eases retrofits into existing systems.
