The Lenel LNL-1320-S3B is a Series 3 dual reader interface module for the LenelS2 OnGuard access control platform. Specifically, it connects up to two card readers and their door hardware to a LenelS2 intelligent controller. Therefore, it brings two doors under centralized OnGuard control from one board.
First, the module communicates with the controller over a 2-wire RS-485 bus. In addition, that bus supports multi-drop wiring up to 4,000 feet (1,219 m). As a result, integrators can mount the board near the doors while the controller stays remote.
What the Lenel LNL-1320-S3B Controls
The board provides two reader ports for standard credential devices. Furthermore, it includes eight inputs and six Form-C relay outputs. Therefore, one module can monitor door contacts and request-to-exit devices while driving strikes or alarms.
