The Mircom MIX-4090 is a handheld addressable device programmer. Specifically, it sets and reads addresses on MIX-4000 series intelligent devices. As a result, technicians can configure detectors and modules at the bench or in the field. In addition, it reads device type, manufacturing date, and firmware version.
Mircom MIX-4090 controls and display
First, the unit uses four front-panel keys: Read, Write, Up, and Down. Then, a 2-by-8 character LCD shows all information needed for programming. Therefore, technicians do not need a laptop or external screen on site. Furthermore, the unit auto-shuts down after 30 seconds of idle time. As a result, battery life is preserved between tasks.
Power and connections
The programmer runs on a single 9V PP3 alkaline battery (6LR61 / 1604A). For wired devices, a plug-in cable connects directly to the module. In addition, a built-in base accepts heat and smoke detectors without extra hardware. Furthermore, the MIX-4090 can change addresses on un-powered modules in the field.
Compatible devices
Specifically, the MIX-4090 works with the MIX-4010 and MIX-4010-ISO photoelectric smoke detectors. Also, it programs the MIX-4020 and MIX-4020-ISO photoelectric/heat multi-sensors. In addition, it supports the MIX-4030 and MIX-4030-ISO heat detectors. Furthermore, it handles the MIX-4040 dual input, MIX-4041 dual input mini, MIX-4042 conventional zone, and MIX-4046 multi-use output modules.
