The Silent Knight 005815XL is a Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) expander. First, it adds a full SLC to the IntelliKnight 5820XL fire alarm control panel. As a result, you can grow the system without replacing the panel. The expander connects over the RS-485 bus.
Silent Knight 005815XL capacity
Each 005815XL adds 127 SD addressable devices to the system. Alternatively, it supports 99 SK modules plus 99 SK detectors. In addition, you can install up to three expanders on one panel. Therefore, a single IntelliKnight system can reach 508 addressable points.
The expander works with the 5820XL, 5820XL-EVS, 6820, and 6820EVS panels. Its circuits match the functionality of the panel’s built-in SLC. A green LED on the board blinks to confirm good communication.
Installation notes
The 005815XL mounts inside the 5820XL or 5895XL cabinet. It is listed to UL 864 and approved by FM, CSFM, and MEA. For new construction or retrofit, it offers a simple way to expand coverage.
