Simplex 4090-5206 Module — MX Line Isolator
The Simplex 4090-5206 module is a genuine OEM line isolator for MX Technology addressable loops. It protects loop wiring against short-circuit faults. As a result, one fault cannot disable the entire circuit.
How the Simplex 4090-5206 module works
This module is individually addressable. Therefore, it communicates with the MX Loop Module in the host fire alarm panel. First, it monitors the loop line for short circuits. Then it connects or isolates wiring through solid-state switches.
If a fault occurs, the affected switch opens. As a result, the shorted section is isolated. Meanwhile, the rest of a Class A loop keeps operating. In addition, this design preserves detection coverage during a wiring fault.
