The Wheelock E50SSB-W is a surface-mount backbox for E50 series notification appliances. It supports E50 speakers and speaker strobes. Therefore it enables surface mounting where flush mounting is not possible.
Wheelock E50SSB-W mounting
This backbox installs directly on a finished wall surface. In addition, the E50 appliance then mounts to the box. As a result, installers avoid cutting into existing walls. The white finish blends with typical interior surfaces.
Typical use
First, choose surface mounting for retrofit projects. Then use the E50SSB-W where in-wall boxes are unavailable. Furthermore, it pairs with the matching E50 series devices.
