The Edwards 757-7A-T is a temporal horn/strobe that operates on 24 VDC. First, it combines an audible horn with a visible strobe in one appliance. Then it sounds a self-synchronized Temporal Code 3 pattern. As a result, it provides code-compliant fire alarm notification.
Edwards 757-7A-T strobe output
The strobe carries a 15/75 candela rating. Specifically, it lists at 15 cd for UL 1971 public-mode notification. In addition, the 75 cd value applies to high-output visual signaling. Therefore, one appliance covers both spacing requirements.
Self-synchronized horn
The “-T” suffix designates Temporal Code 3 signaling. Also, the horn synchronizes its own pattern on the notification circuit. As a result, multiple horns sound in unison without a separate sync module. Furthermore, field options let installers tailor the output.
Where it fits
This horn/strobe suits schools, offices, healthcare, and retail spaces. Therefore, it serves both new construction and retrofit projects. The 757-7A-T mounts to standard North American electrical boxes.
