The Edwards EDGE-SLC-500 is a signaling line circuit (SLC) expansion module for EDGE Series panels. First, it adds two addressable loops to the system. As a result, the panel gains capacity for up to 500 devices.
Each EDGE loop supports up to 250 addressable devices. Specifically, that includes 125 detector addresses and 125 module addresses per loop. Therefore, two loops together address up to 500 devices.
How the Edwards EDGE-SLC-500 expands a system
EDGE panels support up to four loops total. Therefore, one EDGE-SLC-500 fills two of those loop positions. In addition, it integrates directly with the EDGE control architecture for a clean install.
