The Edwards ESD-4WJ is a SuperDuct duct smoke detector controller with an integral sensor and RJ45 connection. First, it samples air inside HVAC ductwork. As a result, it provides early warning of smoke moving through the ventilation system.
Duct smoke detectors help stop smoke from spreading between building areas. Therefore, they are widely used on HVAC supply and return ducts. In addition, they can signal HVAC shutdown when smoke is detected.
How the Edwards ESD-4WJ works
A sampling tube draws duct air across the detector’s photoelectric sensor. Then, the controller evaluates the air sample for smoke. Also, the RJ45 connection simplifies wiring. Furthermore, this is a four-wire SuperDuct configuration.
- SuperDuct duct smoke detector controller with integral sensor
- Photoelectric smoke sensing for HVAC duct applications
- Four-wire configuration with RJ45 connection
- Detects smoke on HVAC supply or return ducts
- Listed for duct smoke detection applications
Please note a sampling tube is sized to the duct width and ordered separately. Therefore, confirm your duct dimensions before ordering. Our team can help match the correct tube.
