The Mircom EL-7007GX is a green-LED emergency exit sign with a thermoplastic shell and 90-minute battery backup. First, the housing is injection-molded UL-94V-0 flame-rated ABS. Then super-bright SMD LEDs light the EXIT face. As a result, the sign meets the visibility requirements for marked egress paths.
Mircom EL-7007GX power and runtime
Input voltage is 120/277 VAC at 60 Hz. In addition, a NiCd battery sustains the sign for at least 90 minutes during a power loss. Specifically, the conversion time to battery is under 0.2 seconds. Therefore, the sign satisfies typical 90-minute backup code requirements.
Mounting and arrows
The sign ships with mounting hardware plus left- and right-arrow inserts. Also, it accepts wall, side, or ceiling mounting. Furthermore, the test switch and charge indicator are accessible on the unit. As a result, monthly visual checks take seconds.
Environment
The IP class is IP20 with Insulation Class II. However, the operating range is 0-40°C (32-104°F). Finally, coverage is rated for about 80 m² (860 sq ft) per sign.
