The Bosch FAP-425-O-R is an analog addressable optical smoke detector. It belongs to the AVENAR detector 4000 series. First, a single optical sensor uses the scattered-light method. As a result, it detects smoke particles with high accuracy.

This detector supports both manual and automatic addressing. In addition, built-in rotary switches set the address and adjust settings. Installers can also select three optical sensitivity levels. Therefore, the detector adapts to different room conditions. It covers a detection area up to 120 m² and a maximum installation height of 16 m.
Operating environment
The FAP-425-O-R suits demanding commercial spaces. Specifically, it tolerates up to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing. Furthermore, it withstands air speeds up to 20 m/s. Then it performs reliably across large open areas. Finally, it mounts on a compatible AVENAR detector base.
