The Fire-Lite BG-12 is a dual-action manual pull station. It gives a fire alarm panel one manual alarm-initiating input. Furthermore, the dual action helps reduce accidental activation.
To activate, push in and then pull down on the handle. As a result, the word “ACTIVATED” appears on the station. It stays shown until a technician resets the station. Specifically, a hex-key reset returns it to normal.
Contacts and Wiring
The BG-12 uses a single SPST, normally open switch. In addition, the gold-plated contact is rated 0.25 A at 30 volts (AC or DC). Screw terminals make field wiring straightforward. Therefore, it connects easily to a conventional initiating device circuit.
ADA-Compliant Design
The station meets ADA operating guidelines. Specifically, it activates with a maximum 5-pound pull force. Also, operating instructions and Braille are molded into the handle. As a result, it supports accessible installations.
