Fire-Lite BG-12L Manual Pull Station
The Fire-Lite BG-12L is a non-coded, dual-action manual pull station. It gives a fire alarm panel one alarm initiating input. First, a person pushes in the handle. Then they pull down to signal an alarm.
Operation and reset
The dual-action design helps reduce accidental activations. Specifically, it requires two deliberate steps. The station also uses a key-lock reset. Therefore, only authorized staff can reset it after use. Pulling the handle needs no more than 5 lbs of force, which meets ADA guidance.
Construction and listing
The BG-12L provides an SPST normally open switch. In addition, it uses screw terminals that accept wire up to 12 AWG. The durable polycarbonate housing carries molded operating instructions and Braille. Furthermore, the station is listed to UL 38, the standard for manually actuated signaling boxes.
