Fire-Lite C4WT-BA 4-Wire Photoelectric Smoke Detector

The Fire-Lite C4WT-BA is a conventional 4-wire photoelectric smoke detector with a thermal sensor. It belongs to the i3 detector series. First, it senses smoke photoelectrically. In addition, a fixed 135°F heat sensor adds thermal detection.

Detection and performance

The detector uses a nominal 2.5%/ft smoke sensitivity. Furthermore, drift compensation and smoothing algorithms help reduce nuisance alarms. A dual-color LED shows local status at a glance. The design also supports remote maintenance signaling and a removable cover and chamber.

Electrical and listing

The C4WT-BA operates on 12/24 VDC over four-wire circuits. It draws about 50 µA in standby and 130 mA in alarm. Its operating range runs 32°F to 100°F, at up to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing. Moreover, the detector is UL 268 listed; the "-BA" version adds ULC listing.
