The Edwards G1-C chime is a compact audible notification device for fire alarm systems. It produces a pleasing, mellow tone. Moreover, its low-profile white housing blends with most commercial interiors.
Part of the Genesis series, the G1-C is about the size of a deck of cards. Therefore, it signals clearly without dominating a wall. It suits offices, schools, healthcare sites, and similar spaces.
Steady or Temporal Output
With steady voltage applied, the chime pulses at 60 strokes per minute. Alternatively, you can field-configure it for temporal output. In addition, a Genesis Signal Master enables coded operation.
The G1-C also offers selectable high or low dB output. Specifically, a simple jumper cut lowers the sound by about 5 dB. As a result, you tune the level to each space.
Installation
The chime runs on 24VDC notification appliance circuits. Furthermore, it fits standard one-gang electrical boxes. The unit operates indoors between 32°F and 120°F.
