The Edwards G1M is a Genesis Signal Master synchronization module. It is not a strobe. Instead, it controls how connected Genesis signals behave.
First, the module synchronizes strobe flashes across one notification appliance circuit. As a result, every strobe flashes together, within 10 milliseconds, indefinitely. This exceeds UL 1971 synchronization requirements. In addition, it provides independent horn control over a single pair of wires. Therefore, you can silence horns while the strobes keep flashing.
How the Edwards G1M Mounts
This is the snap-on “piggyback” version. It needs no separate electrical box. Instead, it snaps onto the back of the first Genesis signal on the circuit. As a result, installation stays fast and clean.
