The Gentex (H) is a single- and multiple-station heat alarm for dwelling units. First, it detects heat from a developing fire using a 135°F fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise thermal. In addition, it runs on 120 VAC with a 9-volt battery backup. As a result, it keeps working during a power loss.
Gentex (H) features
The alarm can interconnect with other compatible station alarms. As a result, one triggered unit can sound the others. Furthermore, the battery backup adds protection when building power fails. Also, the fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise sensing responds to fast heat rises. Therefore, it suits spaces where smoke alarms cause nuisance trips.
Listing and applications
The H Series is listed to ANSI/UL 539. Specifically, it is built for dwelling units. For example, homes, apartments, hotels, and similar occupancies use these alarms. However, confirm voltage needs first; the H220 model covers 220 VAC installations.
