The Gamewell INI-VGC is the Intelligent Network Interface Voice Gateway for the INCC Command Center. First, it replaces the legacy 1100-1322 module. In addition, the INI-VGC occupies a single node on the E3 broadband network. As a result, the gateway brings voice, switch, LED, and firefighter telephone capability onto the E3 fabric from one card.
Gamewell INI-VGC capabilities
Each INI-VGC supports up to 16 ANU-48 LED Driver Modules or ASM-16 switch modules. Furthermore, that scales out to 256 fully programmable switches and 768 LEDs in red, yellow, and green. Therefore, large command centers can be driven from a single INI-VGC node.
Also, the module provides connections for an optional firefighter telephone handset. In addition, the INI-VGC is a fully digital voice and tone generator that uses DSP technology to produce the audio signal.
Network and wiring
The INI-VGC connects via a single pair of unshielded twisted pair (UTP), fiber-optic cable, or any combination of the two. Furthermore, it operates at the E3 broadband data rate of 625K baud. However, the fiber path requires separate fiber modules; specify the FML-E3 and/or FSL-E3 as needed.
