The Edwards INT-7ATW is a 15/75 cd temporal horn/strobe for fire alarm notification. It mounts on the wall in white, with a standard “FIRE” lens marking.
First, the audible delivers the NFPA 72 temporal-three pattern. Specifically, the cycle is 0.5 s on, 0.5 s off, 0.5 s on, 0.5 s off, 0.5 s on, then 1.5 s off, repeating. As a result, occupants hear the universal fire-evacuation tone.
In addition, the strobe is UL 1971 listed at 15 cd. However, the on-axis intensity reaches 75 cd per ADA and UL 1638. Therefore, designers can use it in spaces where the 15 cd rating is required but higher peak output is desirable.
