The Wheelock IOB-W is a surface-mount backbox for fire alarm notification appliances. It provides a mounting point on finished wall surfaces. Therefore it supports installations where flush mounting is not practical.
Wheelock IOB-W mounting
This backbox attaches to the wall surface. In addition, the notification appliance then mounts to the box. As a result, installers can place devices without opening the wall. The white finish suits standard interior surfaces.
Typical use
First, select surface mounting for retrofit work. Then use the IOB-W to mount compatible Wheelock appliances. Furthermore, it gives a clean, secure platform for the device.
