The Silent Knight IPENC-B is a black external mounting enclosure for Honeywell IP fire alarm communicators. It houses the communicator beside the control panel when the panel cabinet has no room. In addition, the kit includes the IPBRKT mounting bracket and screws.
Per Honeywell installation documentation, the communicator mounts to the factory-installed bracket inside the enclosure. Then the enclosure close-nipples to the panel through conduit no longer than 6 inches. Alternatively, the red IPENC version suits sites that prefer red fire alarm enclosures.
