Kidde (1504-AQN5) Door holder, flush, wall mount – 24-120v

The Kidde 1504-AQN5 is a flush wall-mounted electromagnetic door holder with the LONG catch plate, from the Edwards/Kidde 1500 Series. Specifically, it is the multi-voltage model accepting 24 VAC, 24 VDC, or 120 VAC.

First, the 1504-AQN5 mounts to a standard single-gang 2 × 4 in outlet box for concealed wiring. Then, the long catch plate engages the door’s armature when energized. As a result, fire doors and smoke barrier doors are held in a normally-open position during typical building operation.

In addition, fail-safe release is inherent. Therefore, removing power — whether by alarm relay, switch, or general loss — instantly releases the door to self-close. Furthermore, the swivel contact plate self-adjusts to any door angle.
