The Kidde EG4RSB is the 4-inch surface mount box in red for the Genesis LED EG4 Series wall-mount horns, strobes, and horn-strobes. Specifically, it is the surface-mount alternative to a recessed double-gang electrical box. As a result, EG4 devices can install on walls without cutting into the substrate.
First, the EG4RSB color matches red EG4 devices like the EG4RF, EG4VRF, and EG4ARF. Then, the device snaps onto the surface box just like it would onto a flush box. Therefore, the same EG4 horn-strobe SKU works in either surface or flush rough-in scenarios.
