The Kidde GSA-CT1 is a single-circuit input module for the Signature addressable loop. First, it supervises one normally-open initiating-device circuit (IDC). Then, the loop controller reports the IDC state as an addressable point.
In addition, the GSA-CT1 reads analog data from its input. As a result, the panel decides alarm, trouble, or normal based on the loop’s threshold and personality code.
How the Kidde GSA-CT1 Works
The GSA-CT1 plugs into a Signature mounting base. Then, the IDC is wired with end-of-line supervision per the panel’s wiring guide. Finally, the module reports state changes to the loop controller.
Furthermore, the personality code is downloaded at commissioning. As a result, the same module can act as alarm, supervisory, or monitor input depending on the application.
Typical Applications
