The Kidde GSA-MCR is an intelligent control relay module for VM and VS Series fire alarm panels. It provides one Form C dry relay contact. First, the relay controls external equipment such as door closers, fans, and dampers. As a result, the panel can drive auxiliary functions on command.
Kidde GSA-MCR control relay module
This is the plug-in UIO version of the Signature Series control relay. It mounts on a UIO motherboard inside a Kidde enclosure. Also, an onboard microprocessor holds the relay in its correct state. Therefore, the loop controller switches the contact reliably.
Ratings and addressing
The Form C contact is rated 2.0 amps at 24 VDC and 0.5 amps at 120 VAC. In addition, electronic addressing removes switches and dials. The module also reports ground faults down to the device level. Furthermore, it carries UL, ULC, CSFM, and MEA listings. Finally, it suits Kidde VM and VS Series systems.
