An ionization sensor detects smoke from fast-flaming fires. Also, a built-in piezoelectric horn sounds at 85 decibels at 10 feet. Therefore, the alarm alerts occupants clearly across a room. In addition, the sealed design resists battery removal and theft.
Key features
The Hush feature silences nuisance alarms for about 7 to 9 minutes. For example, cooking smoke can trigger a brief, harmless alert. Furthermore, Alarm Memory shows which unit last sounded. The alarm also chirps near end of life to signal replacement. Finally, the i9010 is UL 217 listed for safety.
