The Kidde VS4-R-2 is an intelligent addressable fire alarm control panel with a red door. It is a four-loop-capable system. Specifically, it ships with one 250-device Signature loop. As a result, it suits larger commercial and institutional buildings.

The panel has room for up to two device loop controller modules. Therefore, it can grow to four 250-device loops in total. The first loop supports up to 125 detectors and 125 modules. In addition, each device reports its own address. As a result, the system pinpoints alarms by exact location.
Power and expansion
The VS4 cabinet holds up to two 18 Ah backup batteries. In addition, the panel connects up to eight remote annunciators. Those runs reach 4,000 feet. The panel runs on 120 VAC. Furthermore, it carries a UL 864 listing for fire signaling systems.
