Lenel (LNL-8000-M5) Eight door multiplexer module

The Lenel LNL-8000-M5 is an M-Series eight-door multiplexer module for the LenelS2 OnGuard access control platform. Specifically, it lets a single Intelligent System Controller manage up to eight doors at one location.

First, the LNL-8000-M5 replaces the legacy CASI 8RP board with one-to-one compatibility. Then, it adds support for newer reader technologies on existing wiring. As a result, integrators can modernize OnGuard sites without re-pulling cable.

In addition, the module connects to an Intelligent System Controller over 2-wire or 4-wire RS-485. Furthermore, the bus runs up to 4,000 feet per port. Therefore, large facilities can centralize control while keeping reader heads in remote door frames.

• Communication cable: 24 AWG minimum twisted pair with shield
• End-of-line termination: jumper-selectable

System Compatibility

First, the LNL-8000-M5 reports to standard Lenel Intelligent System Controllers. In addition, it shares the panel bus with LNL-1320 reader boards, LNL-1100 input modules, and LNL-1200 output modules. Therefore, a single Series 3 or M-Series ISC can serve doors, monitored inputs, and auxiliary outputs from one location.
