The Wheelock MB-G10-12-S is a 12 VDC vibrating motor bell with a 10-inch shell. It provides loud, low-frequency audible signaling for fire alarm systems. Specifically, this silver model uses a durable, high-torque permanent magnet motor. As a result, it delivers reliable notification in commercial and institutional buildings.

This bell produces 92 dBA at 10 feet, measured per UL methods. In addition, it draws low current for easy circuit loading. The average RMS current is 0.060 A, with a UL maximum of 0.090 A. Its low-frequency aluminum shell carries sound through walls and doors. Also, built-in RFI suppression limits noise on the notification appliance circuit.
Wiring and mounting
The bell is polarized for DC supervision of NAC circuits. Furthermore, it runs on filtered or unfiltered DC from 9.0 to 15.6 VDC. Screw terminals accept #12 to #18 AWG wire for fast in-out wiring. A built-in trimplate allows semi-flush mounting to a standard 4-inch square backbox. Alternatively, surface-mount it using the Wheelock indoor BB or outdoor WBB backbox.
Listings and finish
The MB-G10-12-S carries a textured enamel finish. It is listed to UL 464 and CAN/ULC S525 for fire protective service. In addition, it holds FM, CSFM, New York (MEA), and Chicago (BFP) approvals. The bell also meets OSHA 29 Part 1910.165.
