The Mircom FX-3500 is an intelligent fire and agent release control unit. Specifically, it serves UL/ULC-listed fire alarm and releasing service applications. As a result, technicians can use one platform for both detection and suppression. In addition, the FX-3500 supports backward-compatible CLIP devices for legacy retrofits.
Mircom FX-3500 system capacity
First, the panel ships with one onboard SLC/DCL communication circuit. Then, it expands to three SLC/DCL circuits through option cards. Each SLC supports up to 318 addressable points using the Advanced Protocol. As a result, a fully expanded panel can address 954 intelligent devices. Furthermore, the SLC wiring supports NFPA 72 Style 4, Style 6, and Style 7. It also meets ULC DCL-A and DCL-B.
Notification and event logging
The panel includes four Class A/B Notification Appliance Circuits. Each NAC is rated at 1.5 amps. In addition, the FX-3500 stores two separate event histories. Specifically, one log holds 400 alarm events. The other log holds 400 general events. Therefore, technicians can audit alarm activity separately from supervisory and trouble records.
Physical and listings
Furthermore, the cabinet measures 26″ x 14.5″ x 4.2″ (66 cm x 36 cm x 11 cm). It supports both flush and surface mounting. Also, the FX-3500 carries UL and ULC listings for fire alarm service. In addition, it is listed for releasing service.
