The Mircom TD-135 is a fixed-temperature heat detector. It activates at 135°F (57°C) to signal a developing fire. Because it is self-restoring, it resets once temperatures drop.
This detector uses a bi-metal disc as its heat-sensing element. In alarm, it closes a normally open contact. Then the contact returns to normal as the air cools.
Where the Mircom TD-135 Works Best
First, the TD-135 suits spaces where smoke detectors face nuisance alarms. For example, it fits mechanical rooms and similar areas. As a result, it adds reliable heat-based detection.
Each detector covers about 225 square feet. Specifically, use 15-foot center spacing and mount 7.5 feet from walls. In addition, the low-profile housing fits any standard octagon or square electrical box.
