Mircom MIX-4050 Sync Module for 4000 Series
The Mircom MIX-4050 is a NAC sync module for the Mircom 4000 series fire alarm system. First, it synchronizes horns, strobes, and horn-strobes across one Class A or two Class B notification lines. As a result, audible and visual signals stay coordinated across large facilities.
The module runs at 24 V regulated, with an operating range of 16 to 33 V DC filtered or full-wave-rectified. In addition, average current draw is under 25 mA. Each NAC line supports up to 3 amperes of appliance load.
Mircom MIX-4050 module-to-module sync
Up to twenty MIX-4050 modules can be linked together for module-to-module synchronization. Specifically, the linkage uses an automatic master-slave scheme. Therefore no programming or dip-switch setting is required. As a result, integrators can scale synchronized notification across multiple riser zones.
The module supports the two-stage alarm function of “Alert” and “Evac”. Also, this matches the FleX-Net and 4000 series panel sequences for staged evacuation.
Mounting
The MIX-4050 mounts in a standard 4-inch square back-box. However, the back-box must have a minimum depth of 2 1/8 inches. Furthermore, installation requires no special skills — wire the NAC inputs, connect outputs to the appliances, and the sync runs automatically.
