The Notifier FSD-751RPL is an intelligent low-flow photoelectric duct smoke detector with an integral DPDT relay. It detects smoke in HVAC ducts across a wide airflow range. As a result, the system can shut down fans and blowers to limit smoke spread.
Low-Flow Duct Detection
The FSD-751RPL samples air moving through a duct. It performs reliably from 100 to 4,000 feet per minute. A telescopic sampling tube draws the air sample across the sensor. Therefore, the detector suits both low- and high-velocity duct applications.
FlashScan Communication and Relay
The detector communicates over Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol. FlashScan supports addresses 0 through 159. In addition, an onboard DPDT relay switches auxiliary equipment directly. So the device can command fan shutdown for NFPA 90A duct applications.
Compatible Panels and Accessories
The FSD-751RPL works with all Notifier addressable panels. Common examples include the NFS-320, NFS2-640, and NFS2-3030. An RA400Z remote annunciator shows status away from the duct. Furthermore, the RTS451 or RTS451KEY remote test station allows convenient testing. A sampling tube is required and sold separately, sized to the duct width.
