The Protectowire PIM-530E is an interface module for Protectowire linear heat detectors. It connects PHSC and PLR sensor cable to a host fire alarm panel. As a result, the panel sees alarm and trouble conditions from the heat-sensing cable.
This model adds a built-in LCD display and navigation buttons. Therefore, technicians can read status and pinpoint alarms right at the module. In addition, it reports the alarm point location along the cable run.
Protectowire PIM-530E Capabilities
The initiating circuit supports up to 6,560 feet (2,000 m) of PHSC or PLR cable. For the host panel, the module provides one set of Form C alarm contacts and one set of Form C trouble contacts. In addition, it offers Modbus communication over RS-485 and two 4-20 mA outputs. It also stores a 64-event history for review.
