The Wheelock PS-EXP is a plug-in expansion module for POWERPATH power supplies. It adds notification appliance circuits to the Wheelock PS-8 family. Specifically, it fits the PS-8, PS-8-LP, PS-8E, and PS-8E-LP units. As a result, larger systems gain more circuit capacity without a second power supply.
Wheelock PS-EXP circuit capacity
A POWERPATH supply alone provides four Class B or two Class A circuits. However, adding the PS-EXP raises this to eight Class B or four Class A circuits. Each output is independently configurable, filtered, regulated 24 VDC. Therefore, you can route power to more notification zones with precision.
Applications
The PS-EXP is ideal for NAC expansion that supports ADA coverage. In addition, it can supply auxiliary power to system accessories. The module also works with SafePath voice evacuation and mass notification systems. For installation details, refer to Wheelock install sheet P85011.
