The Siemens ADBX-11 is an audible fire detector mounting base for Series 11 detectors. First, it combines a standard Series 11 base with support circuitry and a built-in sounder. As a result, it provides local audible notification right at the detector.
This base ships reconditioned with a one-year warranty. Please note the ADBX-11 is discontinued by the manufacturer. Therefore, it is most useful for repairs and like-for-like replacements.
Siemens ADBX-11 Operation
On alarm, the base activates its audible device. Specifically, it produces an 85 dB signal for localized annunciation. In addition, a jumper selects either a steady or temporal tone.
The base operates on 17–31 VDC. Field wiring terminates at two of the four terminal blocks on the back. As a result, installation stays straightforward.
Compatibility and Mounting
The ADBX-11 supports Siemens FP-11 and FPT-11 detectors. Furthermore, it also accepts FS-DP, FS-DPT, and FS-DT detectors. It works with the Siemens MXL family of control panels. Finally, it mounts to a 4-inch square electrical box with an extension.
