The Siemens PAD-4-MB is the replacement main board for the Siemens PAD-4 distributed power supply unit. Here, “MB” means main board. Therefore, this is the circuit board only — not a complete enclosure.
The PAD-4 is a distributed power supply and notification appliance circuit extender. First, it adds notification appliance circuits to a fire alarm system. As a result, it powers more strobes, horns, and speakers from a remote location. The PAD-4-MB restores that functionality when the original board fails.
Siemens PAD-4-MB Main Board Capabilities
The PAD-4 main board provides four power-limited notification appliance circuits. Each NAC is rated 3 A at 24 VDC. In addition, the board includes trigger inputs, battery supervision, and strobe synchronization. It also supports ground-fault detection, status LEDs, and trouble reporting.
The board requires a compatible Siemens power supply. Specifically, the FP2011-U1 (170W) or FP2012-U1 (300W) sets the available current. However, the PAD-4 enclosure (PAD-4-ENCL) is ordered separately. As a genuine Siemens component, the PAD-4-MB maintains UL listing compliance.
