The Siemens SL2HSCW-F is a ceiling-mount horn-strobe in the Siemens SL2 notification-appliance series. The white faceplate carries “FIRE” lettering and a clear lens.
First, the SL2HSCW-F uses LED strobe technology in place of older Xenon designs. As a result, current draw is significantly reduced compared to legacy strobes. Furthermore, the LED light pulse meets the 20-millisecond duration requirement of the 2016 edition of NFPA 72.
Four field-selectable candela settings
An index-finger slide adjuster sets the strobe output without tools. Specifically, the SL2HSCW-F supports 15, 30, 75, and 110 cd in a single appliance. As a result, a single SKU covers most ceiling notification applications.
Audible operation
The horn portion of the Siemens SL2HSCW-F provides two field-selectable tone modes. These are the Code 3 (T3) temporal pattern and continuous output. In addition, sound output can be set to High or Low.
Compatibility
The SL2HSCW-F works with Siemens 50-point, 252-point, and 504-point addressable fire alarm control panels. Also, it is compatible with the FireFinder XLS / XLSV, Cerberus PRO Modular, PAD-series NAC extenders, and the dual-sync control (DSC) module.
