The Siemens XLS-MME3-ADPT is a black adapter kit used during FireFinder XLS upgrades. Specifically, it lets an existing MXL system mounted in an MME-3 or MBR-2 backbox accept a new FireFinder XLS chassis. As a result, installers can retrofit a panel without replacing the backbox or rerunning conduit.
What is in the Siemens XLS-MME3-ADPT kit
The kit ships with three parts. First, a black adapter plate. Then, an inner door. Finally, an outer door. Together, they re-skin the legacy backbox to match the XLS form factor.
Installation notes
- Mounts over the existing studs in an MME-3 or MBR-2 backbox
- Secured with the supplied #1/4-20 hex flange nuts
- Color: black, to match the standard XLS architectural finish
- Intended for use during MXL-to-FireFinder XLS conversions
Compatibility
This adapter is specific to the MME-3 and MBR-2 legacy MXL backboxes. For MSE-3L or MSE-3M backboxes, use the XLS-MSE3-ADPT instead. Verify your installed backbox model before ordering.
