The Edwards SIGA-MCC1S is a single-input signal module with synchronization output for Signature Series fire alarm systems. It switches a supervised Class B signal circuit to its power input. In addition, it provides strobe synchronization for coordinated visual notification. As a result, multiple strobes flash in unison across a notification zone.
Edwards SIGA-MCC1S synchronization role
This module is a recognized Genesis strobe synchronization source. Therefore, it keeps visible appliances within UL 1971 sync timing. Specifically, synchronized flash avoids issues for people with photosensitive epilepsy. The module also connects 24 VDC audible and visible signal power on command from the loop controller.
The SIGA-MCC1S is the UIO plug-in version of the SIGA-CC1S. Furthermore, it plugs into Signature UIO motherboards for quick installation. Electronic addressing and automatic device mapping then simplify commissioning. A green LED indicates polling, and a red LED indicates active operation.
