The Silent Knight 54960 is the printed circuit board for the Model 5496 Intelligent Power Module. Specifically, it is the replacement board shipped without the metal enclosure. As a result, service technicians can swap the board into an existing 5496 cabinet without replacing the entire unit.
What the 5496 power module does
The 5496 expands a Silent Knight addressable FACP with more power and more notification circuits. First, it carries its own AC connection. Then, it includes a battery charging circuit and a backup battery. As a result, it can drive additional notification appliances without loading the main FACP.

Ordering note
The 54960 is the board only. Therefore, the existing 5496 metal enclosure, transformer, and battery must be reused. If the original enclosure is damaged, order the full 5496 assembly instead.
