The Silent Knight SK-FFT is a Firefighter Telephone Communication System. First, it gives the fire department a dedicated phone line into the building. Then, responders at remote handset jacks talk directly back to the lobby command center. As a result, the SK-FFT supports the two-way voice path required by NFPA 72 for many high-rise and large-footprint occupancies.
Silent Knight SK-FFT capacity
- Up to 24 zones onboard
- Up to 48 zones total with one FFT-24 expander board
- Each zone consists of one SK-Minimon addressable monitor module plus at least one FFT-FPJ phone jack
- Up to 10 Fire Fighter Remote Handsets (FFT-RHS) active on the circuit at one time

Before specifying
Confirm the AHJ requires a firefighter phone system for the occupancy. Then, count the number of jack locations and remote handsets needed. Therefore, if the job exceeds 24 zones, plan for the FFT-24 expander as part of the order.
