The Silent Knight SK-NIC-KIT is an accessory install kit for mounting an SK-NIC network interface card outside a Silent Knight fire alarm control panel.
First, the kit contains an SK-NIC card, a small cabinet with door, a 6-pin cable, and mounting hardware. Then it gives technicians a clean way to add networking to a panel without crowding the FACP enclosure.

How the SK-NIC Card Works
The SK-NIC creates a peer-to-peer network link between Silent Knight 6000 Series addressable panels. As a result, multiple panels can share alarm, trouble, and status information across a site.
In addition, the card supports unshielded twisted-pair copper between nodes. Therefore, installers can run network segments without specialized cable.
Typical Applications
Use the kit when an existing site adds networking after the initial install. Also use it when the host panel lacks internal space for a flush-mounted card.
