The Silent Knight WSK-WGI is the SWIFT wireless gateway. It bridges the fire alarm control panel and the SWIFT mesh of wireless fire devices.
First, the WSK-WGI connects to the SLC loop of a Silent Knight 6700, 6808, or 6820/EVS addressable panel. Then it uses the SK protocol on the SLC to talk to the panel. In addition, it uses a proprietary wireless protocol to talk to SWIFT devices.
What the Silent Knight WSK-WGI Does
The gateway acts as the panel’s mouthpiece in the SWIFT mesh. As a result, wireless smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, and relay modules can report through the gateway to the host panel.
Mesh technology gives every device redundant paths. Therefore, single-device failures do not break the network.
Power Options
The WSK-WGI is powered by the SLC loop. Alternatively, it can be powered by any external 24 VDC UL listed power supply.
