The Simplex 4100-5111 is an expansion system power supply for 4100U and 4100ES fire alarm panels. It carries Simplex catalog number 8742-631. First, it adds power and device capacity to a growing 4100U system. As a result, large installations gain headroom without a second panel.
Simplex 4100-5111 Power Output
The 4100-5111 delivers 9 A total output for Special Application appliances. In addition, it supplies 4 A for Regulated 24 VDC appliances. All outputs are power-limited, except the battery charger circuit. The card accepts a 120 VAC, 60 Hz input at 4 A maximum.
On-Board Circuits
This power supply includes a 250-point IDNet signaling line circuit. Furthermore, it provides three independent 3 A notification appliance circuits. You can wire each NAC as Class A or Class B. Also, the NACs support strobe synchronization and SmartSync operation.
The card adds a 2 A auxiliary power output and an auxiliary relay. In addition, it includes earth-fault detection for the connected wiring.
Battery Charger and Telemetry
A dual-rate, temperature-compensated charger maintains the standby batteries. Specifically, it supports up to 50 Ah inside the panel cabinet. Alternatively, it charges up to 110 Ah in an external battery cabinet. The card then reports analog telemetry to the 4100U master controller. Reported values include battery voltage, charger current, system voltage, system current, and individual NAC currents.
This unit is reconditioned and carries a one-year warranty.
