The Mircom TX3-CX-2-A is a two-door card access controller for the Mircom TX3 access-control platform. It is not a fire alarm device.
What the Mircom TX3-CX-2-A does
First, the controller manages two independent door access points. In addition, it provides standard Wiegand reader interfaces for each door. Therefore, it suits stand-alone installs as well as networked TX3 systems.
The controller is a hybrid IP and RS-485 device. As a result, it can run on either an RS-485 daisy chain or a TCP/IP network. Specifically, an RS-485 network can manage up to 126 doors. However, using TCP/IP via the TX3-IP module makes the system virtually unlimited.
Compatibility
The TX3-CX-2-A integrates across the full TX3 family. For example, it links to voice entry panels, elevator restriction modules, and Aperio wireless locksets. Also, it accepts standard Wiegand credentials from TX3-P300-HA and HID/AWID proximity readers.
The unit ships in a gray steel enclosure for indoor wall mounting. Furthermore, the design supports field expansion through the TX3 ecosystem rather than direct fire-panel integration.
