The Mircom TX3-TOUCH-WR-BB is the weather-resistant mounting back box for 15-inch TX3 Touch weather-resistant entry panels. It is an access-control / voice-entry accessory, not a fire alarm device.
What the Mircom TX3-TOUCH-WR-BB does
First, the back box provides the surface-mount enclosure for a 15-inch TX3-TOUCH-WR or TX3-TOUCH-S15B-WR panel. In addition, the weather-resistant design protects the device from outdoor exposure. Therefore, it suits exterior entry locations on apartments, condominiums, and office buildings.
Where it fits
The back box pairs with the TX3-TOUCH-WR-A series of outdoor video intercom and access-control touchscreens. Specifically, those panels combine a vandal-resistant 15-inch display with integrated voice entry and card access. As a result, the WR-BB is the standard outdoor rough-in for that family.
The unit ships ready for surface mounting at building entrances. Also, the housing is designed to support long-term outdoor reliability when paired with the matching weather-resistant panel.
