The Protectowire WAW-P is a polypropylene WAW clip used in mounting assemblies for Protectowire linear heat detector (LHD) cable. It’s the “P” (polypropylene) variant of the WAW clip family.
First, the WAW-P seats into a Protectowire mounting bracket or beam clamp. Then the LHD cable presses into the clip’s spring groove. As a result, the detector is held in alignment along the run without crushing the cable’s inner insulation.
In addition, the polypropylene WAW-P pairs with the BC-3P beam clamp assembly. For the nylon variant, see the WAW-N — used in the BC-3N beam clamp and the RMC-3 L-bracket. Furthermore, only Protectowire-approved clips should be used on PHSC and EPC cable.
